The potential of the series

Combined digital batch freezers with automatic extraction and electronic control for a proper gelato consistency The algorithm developed for the agitator torque control in Newton per meter allows to obtain gelato and sorbets with different structures and to control the operation of the compressor.
Upper tank is for thermal / pasteurizing process, lower tank it’s a horizontal batch freezer.

SMARTMIX RHS/RHB are combined multi-function machine, composed by 2 split and independent tanks.
Each tank is provided with compressor and Inverter. The upper tank can be used as boiler, pasteurizer, ageing vat, it can contain 15 Liters of mix. Lower tank is a horizontal batch-freezer with regulation “AD HOC” for the correct gelato consistency. The algorithm processed to control the agitator’s torque in Newtons per meter allows to obtain creamy, compact and dry gelato, and to regulate the gas supply as soon as the preset consistency has been reached. The operator can decide to: pasteurize and mature the mix in the upper tank before moving it into the lower batch-freezer; heat up the mix in the upper tank and move it into the lower batch-freezer (thermal shock). The two tanks can work at the same time. While in the upper tank you pasteurize or heat up, in the lower one you can make gelato / ice cream or sorbets. The moving of the mix from the upper tank to the lower one is possible thanks to an external channel. This way it is possible to fill the upper tank with the quantity of mix you need to batch in the lower one stabilizing each recipe one at a time (to make gelato using the thermal shock); or fill the upper tank with 15 Liters of mix to be pasteurized and matured (to make gelato / ice cream using the traditional cycles). Thanks to the external slide it is possible to remove the mix prepared in the upper tank without passing compulsorily through the lower tank.

UPPER TANK: WORKSHOP TECHNIQUES

  • Stainless steel agitator.
  • Agitator shaft with upper seal.

  • Tank defrosting switch to make every agitator’s restart easier.
  • Direct drive (chain in upper RHS / RHB models) with gearboxes lubricated for life to reduce vibrations and oscillations and avoid slippage, adjustments and replacement of belts.
  • Inverter with acceleration ramp for the agitator to protect the transmission from any mechanical stress.
  • Available with air, water, mixed, remote and tropicalized cooling system.
  • Transparent lid that allows you to control the transformation of the mixture during the entire work phase.
  • Double lid for inserting ingredients with the agitator in motion.
  • Tap levelled at the bottom of tank.
  • External removable transfer channel (no model RHT4 / 20).

RHS / RHB programs:

  • On board computer with 61 programs: each program works easily and automatically, with preset parameters or manually. By regulating the agitator speed and the product consistency you will obtain gelato / ice cream with different overruns.
  • 1 mixing program. For mixing, whipping, washing.
  • 40 free programs. For the customization of recipes and the heat treatment of mixtures up to 115 ° C.
  • The pasteurization programs include heating up to the desired temperatures of 85 ° C (for high pasteurization) or 65 ° C (for low pasteurization), any pause times and subsequent cooling down to a temperature of 4 ° C. At the end of the entire cycle, the acoustic signal will warn that the process has ended. Then begins the maturation / conservation phase which keeps the mixture at a constant temperature of 4 ° C. It is also possible to select the operation of the agitator in continuous or alternating service. The cycle is completely automatic even in the event of a blackout.
  • All the pasteurization and maturing cycles are saved.
  • 1 batch freezing / cooling program with time control. It allows you to choose the ideal cycle according to time.
  • 5 batch freezing / cooling / preserving programs with temperature control. It allows you to choose the ideal temperature.
  • 7 batch freezing density control programs.
  • 7 chain programs. Thanks to this important innovation it is possible to combine up to 5 different programs.
  • The operator can change the cycles in progress dynamically by changing the stirrer speed or the consistency of the finished product he wants to obtain. He can save the new parameters for subsequent cycles.
  • Multi-language display 2.5 inches with visual, alphanumeric or graphic signals of the cycle in progress.
  • Variable agitator speed to work gelato / ice cream with different structures (high performance agitator speed variator).
  • Temperature regulation with PID (proportional integral derivative).
  • Full integration between Inverter and electronics.

  • Vertical and round tank that allows you to prepare condensed mixes and save immediately the 30% of power supply.
  • The gelato / ice cream base is not stressed during the preservation by any fast agitator. Inside the tank there is just one agitator that move the mix for the whole tank and turn slowly not to make the product skim.

LOWER TANK: WORKSHOP TECHNIQUES

  • Self-adjusting and long lasting POM scrapers, high toughness, they allow a perfect cleaning of the tank. Designed to work in moist rooms and with low temperatures.
  • Tank defrosting switch to make every agitator’s restart easier.
  • Direct drive with gearboxes lubricated for life to reduce vibrations and oscillations and avoid slippage, adjustments and replacement of belts.
  • Tank non-slip carpet.
  • Inverter with acceleration ramp for the agitator to protect the transmission from any mechanical stress.
  • Double door hinge for a perfect closing.
  • High thickness stainless steel door.
  • Possibility to activate the freezing cycle even during the extraction.
  • Available with air, water, mixed, remote and tropicalized cooling system.
